AMERICA'S BEST COMICS Artist's Edition J.H. Williams III Variant
Highly Recommended. Art by Arthur Adams, J.H Williams III, Kevin Nowlan, Chris Sprouse, Gene Ha, Hilary Barta et al. Alan Moore was the braintrust behind America's Best Comics: Tom Strong, Top10, Promethea, and the anthology Tomorrow Stories. The ABC line paired Moore with the finest artists in comics. This volume presents a beautiful overview of the ABC line, including complete stories from Promethea #10 by Williams (Eisner Award-winner for best issue of the year) and Top 10 #7 by Gene Ha, and five Jonni Future stories by the terrific Arthur Adams--my favorite work here. JACK KIRBY PENCILS AND INKS Artisan Edition

This is a perfect way to see Kirby art in its rawest form, reproduced from the original pencils as each page was completed, then next to it, the finished inks. THE BOOK & PERIODICAL ILLUSTRATIONS OF ARTHUR HUGHES
Highly Recommended. By Maroussia Oakley. The first detailed account of the work of this very important Pre-Raphaelite artist between 1855 and 1913. News & Notes

Jack Kirby Pencils and Inks and The Realist.

All these first came in several weeks ago. We were able to fill the advance orders. But improper packing from our supplier—a very common problem we deal with all the time—resulted in many copies arriving damaged. So we had to wait until now for reorders, to get enough unblemished copies to offer to you.

We know some of you don’t care so much about a minor corner bump and some other small blemish. But for all we know you do care very much, so we always police all our books and weed out any that have been damaged, even in relatively minor ways, in shipping. Usually this is the fault of the publisher or distributor who is sloppy in their packing.

The “Hurt” or Blemished books above are just those books. We take these to shows and sell most titles very easily at half price, since many folks barely notice the minor problems. But since we’re between shows right now, we thought we’d make these available to you.

Computer Issues Update #2: Important, Please Read This:

When our system went down on December 22, there were a number of back orders for temporarily out of stock items as well as orders for coming items that didn't necessarily get re-captured when we were able to bring up the new system. If you placed an order before December 22 that you think is overdue, please email us.

This might include orders for coming items that we have now received, such as:

The Art of Fortunino Mantania

Drawing From History: The Forgotten Art of Fortunino Matania

Cave Paintings: The Art of Budd Root

Walking Through the Landscape of Fairy: The Art of Charles Vess

It might also include coming items that we are still awaiting, such as:

Steranko Nick Fury and Captain America Artist’s Edition

The Art of Jon Whitcomb

Prince Valiant Studio

Sweet 18, Hot 19

This only applies to orders placed BEFORE December 22. We were able to bring back MOST of these orders, but we are concerned that we don’t have every one of them. So we want to make absolutely certain that we have your order in our system, so you have your book reserved and we ship it to you when it arrives.

This takes us quite a bit of time to research, so it would help us greatly if you respond to this by email rather than by phone. I realize it’s asking for something you’ve already done, but we want to be absolutely certain we have Coming Item(s) reserved for you.

Thank you very, very much for your help on this.
