VALERIAN AND LAURELINE Ambassador of the Shadows
Back in print, book six in the series. Highly Recommended. By Pierre Christin. Art by J.C. Mézières. The most influential French science-fiction comic series of the past 40 years, with many albums available. This is a new "Deluxe" hardback edition of the sixth chronological story, but one of the earliest to be collected as a graphic novel, back in 1975. Tasked with protecting the new ambassador from Earth, Valerian is kidnapped alongside his charge in a lightning commando attack. It’s up to Laureline to slog through the seedy bowels of the station as she tries to locate and rescue them—and figure out who kidnapped them and why. Cinebook, 2017...More.

New Frazetta Poster Sets

FRAZETTA ERB 3 POSTER SET Moon Maid, Sun Goddess, Savage Pellucidar
Closeout Price! Highly Recommended. By Frank Frazetta. Original Frazetta prints, the same ones that got us through the 1970s and 80s with a dose of pure fantasy on our walls. Here are three paintings based on the works of Edgar Rice Burroughs: A naked Moon Girl with a golden crown rides on the back of a swarthy bestial centaur; Savage Pellucidar features a near-naked warrior woman, spear in hand, crouching with a pensive look alongside a growling sabre-tooth tiger; the Sun Goddess, spreads her arms skyward, alongside another threatening sabre-tooth. FRAZETTA GIRLS 3 POSTER SET #2 Sea Witch, Ghoul Queen, Egyptian Queen
Closeout Price! Highly Recommended. Ahh, those Frazetta women, are they good girls or bad? Original handsome prints of three iconic images, Sea Queen, casting a spell over the tumultuous waves and Egyptian Queen, a voluptuous beauty pressed against a stunning marbled column. And in a lighter vein, a topless beauty clutching a bloodied axe surrounded by demented, cruel beasts who clearly are at her beck and call (first done as a National Lampoon cover, for their "Strange Beliefs" issue). FRAZETTA SWORD & SORCERY 3 POSTER SET Conan Chained, Dark Kingdom, Snow Giants
Closeout Price! Highly Recommended. I got my start selling Frazetta prints in the 1970s, when first Worldbeaters and then Ellie Frazetta herself was printing these. Now it's come around again, as Frank and Ellie's granddaughters are making these available in nearly the exact same format as the originals. Sharp, vivid images (two of Conan) with a high degree of color accuracy on Premium Textured Fine Art Paper. Stored in Ellie and Frank's home. Printed in the late 70s! Frazetta Girls....More.

FRAZETTA GIRLS 3 POSTER SET #1 At The Earth's Core, Dusk Til Dawn, Swamp Demon
Closeout Price! Highly Recommended. "At The Earth's Core" was from Frank's second Pellucidar/ERB paperback series in 1974, featuring a nude princess and an evil Mahar; "Swamp Demon" is a wonderful 1968 piece with a nude black witch confronting an enormous demon. "Dusk til Dawn" was done for the 1996 Rodriguez/Tarantino film with George Clooney, never released. Sharp, vivid images stored in Ellie and Frank's home. Printed in the late 70s! Frazetta Girls.. 2018 Calendars

FRACTAL COSMOS The Mathematical Art of Alice Kelley 2018 Calendar
Highly Recommended. By Alice Kelley. One of our most popular calendars, year after year. Fractals are the visual depictions of mathematical equations--which, in fact, describe natural phenomena such as coastlines, plant shapes, and weather patterns. A computer program assigns a color to each point in the image based on the answers to a chosen equation, which then results in abstract fractal shapes. Dozens of variables are manipulated to create these fascinating images. Amber Lotus, 2017...More.

WOMEN OF MYTH AND MAGIC Kinuko Y. Craft 2018 Calendar
Our Highest Recommendation. One of our very favorite calendars year in and and year out. From mythical archetypes to historical figures, women have inspired great literature, poetry, and, above all, magnificent works of art. Of the contemporary artists who depict ladies of legend, none shines brighter than Kinuko Y. Craft, one of the world's  best known and widely respected fantasy artists. In this elegant calendar, Craft presents twelve opulent and richly detailed portraits of enchantresses, goddesses, brave warriors, and fairy-tale princesses. Amber Lotus, 2017...More.

Mandrake the Magician

By Lee Falk. Art by Fred Fredericks. Join Mandrake as he battles slavers, explores the Lost World, unlocks the mystery of a haunted house, travels to Hollywood, rescues Sonny the child movie star and meets Blozz the mysterious. In June 1965, artist Fredericks took over Mandrake from the late Phil Davis. Creator Lee Falk proceeded to modernize the storylines, making it more reality-based by focusing less on science fiction and fantasy, and making Mandrake operate more like a secret agent, often helping out the police with cases they could not solve. Join Mandrake The Magician and his ever-faithful companion and trusty side-kick, Lothar, as they set out in search of high adventure in strange lands, strange dimensions and even stranger planets with nothing more than a top hat, a wand and the immense strength of Lothar, African Prince, to save the day! The Hidden Kingdom of Murderers. Highly Recommended. By Lee Falk and Phil Davis. This unusual strip was the first to feature a magician. Unlike other adventurers, Mandrake used his illusionist skills and his head, rather than his fists. Artist Phil Davis's work is as good as Alex Raymond's from the same period, exhibiting a fine-line brush and beautiful girls as good as the master. Rare & Out of Print

Each week here you will find new arrivals in this new category. We're adding items regularly, but you need to look on the website, we will only touch on the newest here, since we can't devote the space here to single copies of items.

As mentioned earlier, I've taken over all of Jim Vadeboncoeur's items that he didn't have time to list on EBay before going back to France. We'll get going on these after we return from San Diego Comic-Con. Teaser: Jim had a near complete collection of Glamour International magazines; some will be up shortly, others we have to work on. These were top sellers for us throughout the 1990s-- pin-up and erotic art from all over the world, special Bettie Page issues, and other features.

As promised from a few weeks ago, we have a group of Complete EC Libraries, Complete Little Lulu Libraries and vintage Little Lulu books from the 1940's. Also a few new Frank Frazetta items.
