Drawing from History: The Forgotten Art of Fortunino Matania is even better than expected—It now gets my Highest Recommendation. Advance orders were very strong. We have only 20 copies of the Deluxe Storms at Sea by Mark Schultz--this listing alone will most likely sell those out. Mike Ploog is back with an all new all-ages picture book, Goliath, also available signed. Also new this week: Women of Marvel Treasury Edition, Star Trek Comics UK Vol 2, and a new issue of Comics Revue. And a racy new Dian Hanson collection! Happy New Year from all of us here. Thank you very sincerely for your support all this year, from all of us here: LaDonna, Harry, Laurie, Alberta, Diane, Todd, Patty, Carolyn, Anne and Bud. |

ALBRECHT DÜRER Watercolours and Drawings Warehouse find, 1994. Five full centuries lie between us and the life of Albrecht Dürer (1471-1528). Artists continue to study his work, all of which is touched on here, from domestic scenes and portraits, to anatomy (he'll remind you of Burne Hogarth on his "dynamic" body movement and his hands), to his water-colors of plants and animals. News and Notes |
Our computer server crashed on December 22nd. We had already been working to update our IT operations from stem to stern, beginning with the new Website that went online early in 2016. But now we’re unable to bring back our (very) old software systems. Backups, which we always do, weren’t enough. These systems dealt with everything from individual item information to backorders to purchasing. So as I write this we have been forced into upgrading as we planned, but just far faster than we expected to. This put us behind on filling orders and backorders by several days over the Christmas weekend and into this week (December 26-30). After a short delay we’re now shipping orders again, but it’s going to take time for us to catch up to the speedy 24-hour service you normally expect. So please be aware your order may take a little longer than normal to get to you. Things are going to look and work a bit differently as we get the changes sorted out. We hope to have your understanding—we are doing the very best to make lemonade out of these lemons. Please be patient with us in this transition period. Call us if you need assistance or have any questions: Mon-Fri, 8am to 4pm. We will be closed Monday, January 2. Best Wishes, |
