Rare Books I'm on the road this week, picking up a huge collection of older comics-related books and art books. Thus I can't tune up the descriptions and make personal recommendations on this week's new books. I'll catch up with these asap. This collection is from a good friend who collected for the past 50 years and includes fine illustrated books back to 1900: Rackham, Dulac, Detmold, Pape, all the greats. I also just got another 30 boxes from a comic book buddy of mine who passed away last year. It will be months, if not longer, before we have the time to list all of these. For example, we now have most of the out of print Illustrated Press art books, such as Dean Cornwell, Norman Saunders, Reynold Brown, etc; many OP books on pulps and pulp artists, like J. Allen St. John; pin-up books by Elvgren, Vargas; back issues of Illustration Magazine and Glamour International; a great many signed and/or limited editions by Eisner, Kubert, Neal Adams and many others, such as Wrightson's Badtime Stories.
