Some fun portfolios with the covers of Russ Cochran's EC Archives done by comic stars Wally Wood, Al Feldstein, Jack Davis, Al Williamson and Frank Frazetta. Eyes of the Shadow is a quite scarce 1931 hardcover collecting the second Shadow pulp novel, by Walter Gibson, writing under the name Maxwell Grant. We have two copies in different conditions. Airboy comics are collected in The Return of Valkyrie, with cover art by Jim Steranko. We have added more volumes of DC Archives, and an oversized collection of Basil Wolverton in FoopGoop Frolics. This is Gary Arlington’s own copy, with the original mailer. Today on Comic Book Daily.com I read a good review written by Scott VanderPloeg on the latest Star Hawks collections by Ron Goulart, Gil Kane and Howard Chaykin. Here is an excerpt you might enjoy: "Another rollicking action adventure volume, following our fearless heroes Rex and Chavez as they wade their way through the scum and villainy of the universe. Stories continue to focus on perilous missions in exotic locations, but Goulart has the wherewithal to work in fun and romance whenever possible. The fill in art can be striking in its difference, especially Chaykin's work. It's great, classic Chaykin, but there's no mistaking it for Kane. |

The series will be complete in three books. We have the first two in stock; Volume two just came out in December.
In our Rare and Out of Print books, there is one copy of The Complete Star Hawks Deluxe, an all-in-one volume published in 2003 by Hermes. It's signed by author Ron Goulart and numbered from 1,000 copies. I just reduced the price from $150 to $125.
