It's superbly well done and offers new material for even the most die-hard Kirby or Wood fan. Also, kick-off of a new Sheena series with a graphic novel, a new Sky Doll, The Tijuana Bibles collection from 1991 is available again, some fun Warehouse Finds, and Coming Items.

SKY MASTERS OF THE SPACE FORCE The Complete Dailies 1958-61
Our Highest Recommendation. By Jack Kirby and Wally Wood. Jack Kirby's comic strip masterpiece is presented in an archival version featuring the complete dailies. Veteran scripters Dick and Dave Wood provided these late-1950s space/action adventure stories starring Sky Masters and his gang of intrepid followers, which closely resemble Kirby's work on Challengers of the Unknown (which was being published at the same time). Kirby's artwork is stunningly embellished by Wallace Wood and later by Marvel inker extraordinaire Dick Ayers. Hermes, 2017...More.

Showcase #6, 7, 11 and 12 & Challengers #1-8, 1957-59 Our Highest Recommendation. By Jack Kirby and Wally Wood. It just doesn't get much better than this in the Silver Age! Jack Kirby reinvented the superhero genre with his sprawling saga of the Fourth World—a bold storytelling vision that was decades ahead of its time. And with The Fantastic Four he and Stan Lee created the iconic superhero team. But four years earlier, with magnificent inking by Wally Wood, Jack was honing his skills on one of the greatest prototype series of all time. DC, 2017...More.

TWIN EARTHS Volume 4 & 5 Set
Warehouse find, 1992-93. Highly Recommended. By Oskar Lebeck. Art by Al McWilliams. Twin Earths is an American science fiction comic strip that ran in Sunday and daily newspapers from 1952 until 1963. The story told of another Earth, in the same orbit as our planet but on the opposite side of the sun, whose scientifically advanced civilization is 92% women. Beautiful women! This is packed with flying saucers and McWilliams was a master at drawing them, along with all kinds of future-world techology. And beautiful ladies. A fan favorite strip, which was handsomely collected in a long series of thick softcovers, of which these are a part. Susor, 1992-93...More.

From the same era as Sky Masters, Twin Earths is another wonderful strip. We have only ten sets left.

Here is more about 1950's and 60s science fiction, and the world of tomorrow as imagined from that era:

Highly Recommended. A lavish oversized hardcover tribute to an era of optimism and innovative design, illustrated with rarely seen art and photography of the mid-20th century reflecting the unique style that Walt Disney and his artists contributed to the era. Includes work by Mary Blair, Tom Oreb, Eyvinde Earle, and John Hench, as well as Walt Peregoy's color concepts for 101 Dalmations; Polish designed posters for Disney films; concept art for Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom20,000 Leagues under the SeaDisneyland architect Welton Becket; and more. We especially like the coverage of Disney's Tomorrowland and take on the space age, with the lovely 1950s rockets and flying saucers. Disney, 2017...More.

CONNIE Volume 1 & 2 Set
Closeout Price! Five episodes, 1936-38. Highly Recommended. By Frank Godwin.

Frank Godwin's Connie, produced in the 1930s for the Ledger Syndicate, was groundbreaking in many ways. Its heroine was a woman of action who roamed the Earth and even explored space. Godwin's magnificent art drew from the pulp magazine sci-fi design of the day, creating futuristic machinery and fantastic creatures with equal ease. Published in 2010, we were pleased to find these still available and now at an exclusive sale price. Two book set, the first with four episodes: The Unseen Avenger, The Kimberly Curse, Race to Yucatan, and Death In Stone, and the second with one long story, The Menace of Mo Tung.

Recommended. By Irving Klaw. Written by Cara Winter. The collaboration between Bettie Page and Irving Klaw produced photographs that are far more than mere pin-ups, embracing fetish themes like bondage, girl fights, spanking, and all the fetish clothing, from seamed stockings to high heels. Here are satisfying large, full page photos, most of them very high quality, crisp and sharp. She may still be everyone's favorite yellow-tressed leopard-skin-clad Jungle Jane. She made her first appearance almost 80 years ago (courtesy of Will Eisner and 'Jerry' Iger), swinging through the trees righting wrongs and wielding her knife and spear. In 1938, she premiered in Jumbo Comics #1 where she settled happily into every issue (165 of them) plus a decade in her own title until April 1953. Warehouse Finds

Warehouse find, 1987. Includes 3D glasses. Highly Recommended. By Jerry Siegle. Art by Murphy Anderson. Back in 1951, Superman co-creator Jerry Siegel and future Silver Age artist extraordinaire Murphy Anderson came up with a new super-hero, Lars of Mars. The series was a masterpiece of schlock 1950s sci-fi so perfectly guileless, innocent, and fun that in 1987, Eclipse collected this AND got Anderson, Siegle and inker Jim Mooney to create an all new story! All in 3-D. Lars is an interplanetary agent sent to Earth to battle injustice--disguised as a television actor portraying an imaginary super-hero—“Lars of Mars!” Eclipse, 1987. . Before EC discovered horror and sci-fi, there were the "pre-trend" titles like this one, emulating the successful Crime Does Not Pay. Cole, a man who put great faith in bright colors and striking surreal cover designs. Today a great number of these are classics. A typical Star story -- and these gems from Star's Spook title are prime examples -- would include work from the likes of Jay Disbrow, L.B. Cole himself, Ken Battefield, George Peltz, Rudy Palais, Vern Henkel, (ex of Quality comics) and Howard Larsen, whose unusual work is a highlight on many an Avon title. PS Artbooks, 2018. This Artifact Edition will include more than 100 pages of X-Men covers, splashes, and pages from Byrne's X-Men run. They introduced Alpha Flight, and then created the near mythical storylines “The Dark Phoenix Saga” and “Days of Future Past.” These and the rest of their stories remain burned into the memories of collective fandom to this day, and have been the basis for several X-Men films. Mature Readers

Tijuana Bibles, otherwise known as the notorious “eight-pagers” have always held a fascination for comics fans. Being totally underground and published in the 1930s, they crossed every line of good taste, targeting living people from politicians to movie starlets, making fun of widely popular comic strips. The best book ever done on these dates back to 1997, and we've just found a source for copies of that first edition, in both hardcover and softcover, at $15 and $24.

Ralph Gibson Nude is a new bargain priced ($50, your price $45) collection that reprints the original $1000 edition, both published by Taschen. Old-school nudes in both color and black and white, close-up and person, and artistic.

A Touch of Sex is a new DVD, directed by George O'Conner. This music-filled ‘70s erotic oddity features genre film actor Michael Pataki (Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, Dead And Buried, Graduation Day) and classic adult film starlet, Rene Bond.

The latest Cavewoman issue, Lycan Run, features not one, not two, but three different special edition Nude Covers by Budd Root. I have not been a big fan of the interior art on recent issues, so finding this is from a new writer and new artist, even while it's not Fine Art, I do find a change for the better.

And...we've just made up four sets of older issues by Budd, but we have just one of each set:
