EC COVERS Artist's Edition
Our Highest Recommendation. This once-in-a-lifetime Artist's Edition collects the original art, in the same size as they were drawn, of more than 120 EC covers by EC's best. This gigantic (14 pounds) tome includes: Wally Wood, Harvey Kurtzman. Graham Ingles, Johnny Craig, Al Williamson, Frank Frazetta, Jack Davis, Al Feldstein, and more. That's 40% of EC's entire New Trend covers! Each has been shot from the original art, scanned in color, enabling the reader to see all the subtle little nuances that make original art unique. Blue pencil notations, zip-a-tone, whiteout, all of these and more are clearly visible. IDW, 2021. Rush Service and International shipping would require an additional charge. ...More.

COVENANT The Art of Allen Williams Hardcover Signed
Highly Recommended. Signed & limited to 1500, with 16 extra pages! Allen Williams and Flesk Publications have teamed up to bring you his first art book. We previously handled Allen's sketchbooks and were very impressed. Each of his dark, eerie, skeletal and surreal fantastical characters is accompanied by a line of text, a poem or a brief story that captures their essence — often from mythology. Occasional nudity. Stunning detail and imagination. Flesk, 2021. Out of print. ...More.

IMAGINE! Automobile Concept Art from the 1930s to the 1980s
Highly Recommended. Patrick Kelley presents a wealth of eye-catching car designs — more than 230 images from eighty-seven different artists — that he has spent over fifteen years gathering and assembling into the Kelley Collection. These artworks are rare survivors, vivid illustrations of the singular work of the men and women who drew and designed the vehicles from their art school days through their later employment with the auto industry's Big Three: GM, Chrysler and Ford. IMAGINE! is a tender tribute to the artists' contributions and imagination, transporting us back to a time in US commercial history when the wildest dreams were encouraged and there was nothing but the open road ahead. MR. MONSTER The Original Adventures of Doc. Stearne Signed
Signed full color bookplate with new work by Michael T. Gilbert! Our Highest Recommendation. Mr. Monster was one of the many heroes created during the Golden Age of Canadian comics, long forgotten. But Michael T. Gilbert updated this same Mr. Monster in the 1980s, and we've all seen what fun he had with the character. This new collection includes the two original 1940s Mr. Monster stories plus the earlier Doc Stearne stories and covers. Also included is never-before seen art, an interview with creator Fred Kelly, a new afterword by Michael T. Gilbert and an original pin-up gallery from over two-dozen contemporary Canadian artists! MICHAEL T. GILBERT'S THE COMPLETE WRAITH! Signed
Signed full color Mr. Monster Bookplate. Highly Recommended. The Wraith was a cult classic during the early days of indie comics in the 1970s, and a training ground for Michael T. Gilbert's later work on Elric and Mr. Monster. Created as spoof of Will Eisner's Spirit, Wraith fans included Eisner himself. He wrote "The Wraith has a lot of originality. Your style and approach are very vigorous!" The Wraith appeared in all six issues of Star*Reach's Quack! Here is every story, scanned from the original art, plus a wealth of unpublished art and photos, and an intro by Mr. Monster himself! Gilbert's commentary provides a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the 1970s comic book scene. Clover Press, 2020....More.

2022 Calendars & New Catalog Download

The latest catalog would normally contain ALL of the 2022 calendars, including a great many titles that have not yet arrived. Since we don't want to take orders for these before they are available, we have not included the calendar pages in the downloadable catalog. You can see all in-stock calendars here.

We'll upload a new version of the catalog, with the calendar pages, November 1, around the time you'll receive the print version. Mostly likely, given the delays with other products that are printed in the far east, calendars will be arriving later than usual this year — we do hope we'll have many or most of them in by the end of October!

Reminder: If you order from the website as a guest and do not have an account, we do NOT have your address on file. That means you will not receive a print version of the catalog. When placing an order, and you'd like to receive the print version of the catalog, please create an account, and not checkout as a guest.

New On Sale

Last week and this week we have lowered prices on a large number of older items, mostly in short supply, to make room for the new. You can see them here and in the ALMOST GONE section, before they are listed for a wider audience.

Our Artists at War: The Best of Best American War Comics

This is slated for release November 2nd and we already have a bookplate signed by the two authors, Richard Arndt and Steven Fears. Since it's below our minimum retail price for taking advance orders, it's not yet on the website. But watch for it soon, I think it'll be a very good book. The bookplate will feature special art and is signed and limited.

Flesk News

I didn't realize until we got it that the Covenant book by Allen Williams, above, has 16 extra pages in the signed edition. I've updated the description now.

We've sold out half of our limited allotment of these two Publisher Special Editions: Edwin Austin Abbey and Frank Cho's Pencil and Ink. We will not be able to get more once these are gone.

Out of Print

Lance by Warren Tufts is down to two copies, then it's gone. It has my Highest Recommendation.

Mirage: The Art Quest of Alex Niño Volume 2 is now out of print in the regular edition. We have only five left [MIRAGHS. $150].

We still have the Original Drawing edition which includes an original pen and ink drawing. The entire edition was limited to 500 copies. Signed and numbered [MIRAGD. $250]. These were published in 2019.
