Black Friday's here early, lots of all-new on-sale books, Bill Schelly, Taschen white sale, Joseph Michael Linsner, Krazy Kat, Darwyn Cook, and bargains galore!

Here’s our Black Friday Sale--early so you have time to check it out over the holiday. We’ve got a batch of all-new on-sale books here. First of all, writer Bill Schelly made us an offer we couldn’t refuse on his Hamster Press imprints about the history of comics fandom and early fan strips, plus the Best of Alter Ego. He signed a limited number of each book for us, enough to last at least through this sale. See his other current books here.
Second up, Taschen just had a white sale, much like the Calla/Dover White Sale you saw recently. It’s mostly mature books, so it’s way down at the end of the list.
Third, a remainder house offered us a nice batch of comics-related books and graphic novels. The best of the bunch is Girls and Goddesses, Joseph Michael Linsner’s 2007 pin-up book, in hardcover. There’s also Krazy KatIn the Studio, and DC Comics: The Art of Darwyn Cook.
Some items are our own closeouts and are low in stock, so act now to get the best selection. At the very bottom below, you can now search ALL of our Closeouts, some 800 titles. But we’ve also grouped these for you by price: Under $5.00 (46 items),  Under $10, and Under $20, for bargain hunting. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. You should have our latest catalog in your mailbox within a few days, or download it here.

THE HEAP Volume 3
1951-52. Recommended. Edited by Roy Thomas. Art by Ernie Schroeder. 29 more wild, pre-code adventures of the original swamp monster. Almost 20 years before DC's Swamp Thing brought Bernie Wrightson to fan acclaim, The Heap was creeping around towns and highways and righting wrongs, nicely eliminating bad guys (this was before the code) and all without a word of his own. He was the Frankenstein of the swamp, featured in the back pages of Airboy Comics and actually the result of a lost German pilot who was melded in swamp water and vegetation! Sporting what must surely be one of the finest (albeit short) runs of painted covers, Ziff Davis's Weird Thrillers and the one-shot (numbered 10, go figure) Weird Adventures remain one of the field's most overlooked entries. Until now. Here also are Gene Colan, Bob Powell, Geroge Tuska, Bill Everett and Joe Kubert! These issues are in a class by themselves, as well as being some great sci-fi, fantasy and horror. CLEAR BLUE TOMORROWS
By Fabien Vehlmann. Art by Ralph Meyer, Bruno Gazzotti. When a traveller from the future recounts his memories, it’s a vision both frightening and touching that unrolls before us. Nolan Ska, an engineer, travels back in time, with the intention of changing history by encouraging Wilson's first career: novelist. But Wilson is a poor writer, so it will be up to Nolan to use his own memories to be his ghost writer...An offbeat French graphic novel, drawn with a light touch and humor,  in the style of Mézières' Valerian. VANESSA DEL RIO With DVD
Fifty Years of Slightly Slutty Behavior. By Vanessa Del Rio and Dian Hanson. New bargain-priced edition, with DVD. In 1974 the sexual revolution was in full swing and the adult entertainment business was Business. Deep Throat had created America's first porn star, but by 1974 Linda Lovelace was already retired. The industry was seeking the next big thing. Vanessa del Rio should have been that thing, except in 1974 there were no ethnic sex stars. Undeterred, Vanessa took any role they'd give her, because, amazingly, she was there for the sex more than the money. Fans, awed by her on-screen passion, made her a top box office draw and America's first Latina star. EXPLICIT X-RATED throughout. Taschen, 2016. Adult Material...More.
