WONDER WOMAN The Golden Age Omnibus Volume 1 New Edition New Edition. Collects her origin in All Star Comics #8, her lead story in Sensation #1-24, & Wonder Woman #1-7, 1941-43. Highly Recommended. By William Moulton Marston et al. Wonder Woman, arguably the best-known female superhero in the world, was introduced in the early 1940s in these quirky tales written by the inventor of the lie detector, psychologist William Moulton Marston. In these stories, Wonder Woman travels from Paradise Island to Man’s World, where she battles both common criminals and supervillains like Cheetah and her first nemesis, the Baroness Von Gunther. Her magic bracelets and lasso of truth stop injustice, but usually not before she is tied up again and again, one of Marston's favorite tropes. These stories introduce the mythology of Wonder Woman as she battles the powers of evil, from crooked business owners to Nazi spies. The stories are fun and different, not falling into the typical cliches of many of the Golden Age heroes. DC, 2023....More. Item Code: WWGAH Hard Cover, 7x11, 776pg, Full Color |

Rally Vincent runs Gunsmith Cats, a gun shop in Illinois with her partner, demolitions expert and former call girl Minnie-May Hopkins. But Rally’s “real” job doesn’t pay the bills, her hobby does. And her hobby is bounty hunting: bringing the most wanted men and women in the Chicago area to justice — dressed in her sharp suit and tie, and driving her Shelby Cobra GT 500! But Rally and Minnie-May have their work cut out for them: corrupt lawyers and cops, fetish-fueled hitmen, and crazed cocaine kingpins bringing the copters, the big rigs, and even the anti-tank guns onto the streets and the freeways of Chicagoland in a windshield whirlwind of double-crosses, car chases, and shootouts! Dark Horse, 2025. Mature Readers....More. Item Code: GUNSC01 Soft Cover, 6x8, 608pg, b&w |

HARD BARGAIN Recommended. Outstanding artwork! By Steven DeKnight. Art by Leno Carvalho. Los Angeles 1940. There are no angels there but demons, on the other hand, are a dime a dozen, and if you have the bad luck to get mixed up with one, there’s only one private detective to call: Frank Harding. Demons, monsters, and various and sundry mystical ne’er-do-wells are Frank’s bread and butter. With the help of his gal Friday, Nahla, and his hookup to magical munitions, Rumi, there’s not much he can’t handle. But "not much" ain’t "nothing." Our booth only appears for a couple seconds, but it’s an excellent look at the Rare Book dealers, attendees, scarce books and booths at the best show this year on the west coast. Enjoy! Ken Sanders appears, who you may know from Antiques Road Show. Ken’s an old friend of ours, a fellow comic book guy (big Steve Ditko fan)! |
