BILL THE BOY WONDER Recommended. By Marc Tyler Nobelman. Art by Batman artist Ty Templeton. Every Batman story is marked with the words, "Batman created by Bob Kane." But that isn't the whole truth. It was only after his death that fans went to bat for Bill, calling for acknowledgment that he was co-creator of Batman. R CRUMB THE SKETCHBOOKS 1982-2011 Set Deluxe Signed & Numbered Signed & limited, 1,000. Edited by Dian Hanson. By Robert Crumb. This six-book boxed set (Volumes 7-12) is the first collection of Robert Crumb sketches to be printed from the original art since the hard-bound, slipcased, seven volume series issued by the German publisher Zweitausendeins between 1981 and 1997. Unlike the Zweitausendeins edition, which included every doodle ever made by the preeminent underground artist, our best-of edition has been personally edited by the notoriously picky artist to include only what he considers his finest work, including hundreds of late period drawings not published in previous sketchbook collections. Robert Crumb requested that the books representing the second half of his career be published first due to fan demand for new Crumb material (Volumes 7-12 cover the period 1982-2011, and Volumes 1-6 covers the period 1964-1982). Includes a signed, authenticated color art print of a collectible Crumb original. Numbered "0000" as this was sent to us for display at Shows and Convention. Comes with cardboard box with the same illustrations as the slipcase. Taschen, 2012. Out of Print! Condition: Very Fine/As New. New in shrink wrap (shrink wrap does have a small tear but, does not affect slipcase or books). Adult Material....More… Item Code: RB9594 Hard Cover Slip Case Deluxe, 8x10, 1344pg, Full Color $1000.00 |

ASTONISHING THINGS The Drawings of Victor Hugo Hugo created over 4,000 drawings during his lifetime, 3,000 of which survive today. His ink-and-wash visions of imaginary castles, monsters, tortured figures and seascapes may be less well known than his writings, but they inspired Romantic and Symbolist poets and several generations of artists up to the Surrealists of the 1920s; Vincent van Gogh once compared them to "astonishing things." Novelist, poet and politician Victor Hugo was a towering figure of 19th-century French society, both in the realm of politics and popular culture. His speeches, poems, prose and other writings became rallying points for the French Republic's ideals of equality and freedom. While living in exile from 1851 to 1870, he wrote some of his most famous works and simultaneously pursued his passion for drawing. Royal Academy of Arts, 2025.
