This is the finest batch of “hurt” books we've offered. Ditko and Weird Heroes both get my Highest Recommendation, and the Simon and Kirby is Highly Recommended. These are all “new” books, but they were shipped to us in “case lots” without being double-boxed, so anytime the box was dropped or tumbled, one or two corners of the books got dented. That's what happened to these. It's never particularly bad, but we can't send these out to you as a new book. If a book has a jacket (only the Simon and Kirby has one), there may be small tears besides the dent or dents. You can put a nice Just-a-Fold acetate cover on the jacket and any flaws usually are then hidden. |

We mailed out a special PS Artbooks New on Sale email on May 18. If you missed it, find it here on our blog. Or see our website for ALL the PS Artbooks on sale, many more than in the new sale. Search term is “PSSALE”. One thing I didn't mention in the descriptions is that with the slipcased sets, PS did a cool thing. On the back of the slipcases, in the case of most of the multi-volume series, they have run special artwork so that when you put together all the slipcases side by side and in order, you get a cool picture. I've seen this done on other books, such as from the prestigious Folio society. It is a great touch, and it looks very attractive on your shelves. That said, we don't have EVERY volume in slipcase of some of these series, since this is catch as catch can when they are priced so cheap. Here are two examples for you to check out. Sheena Volumes 1-3, which we have reasonable quantities of and Rulah 1-3, of which we only have ten copies left of Volume 2. They did the same for the Adventures Into the Unknown, Forbidden Worlds, Out of the Night, Planet Comics, and Roy Thomas Presents Frankenstein. ~Bud |
