Rare Books Summer 2022!

Whenever possible, we list new Rare Books in each weekly email, but sometimes there is not room for them all. And mostly we only list them once and then count on you to go browse our Rare Books category on our website to find all that we have available. Here we’ve picked out some of our best recent listings along with new ones never before seen. Included are new listings for Frazetta, Bettie Page and Milo Manara.

Keep watching the weekly email for more new titles, we are working our way through THREE huge collections from long time collectors who took REALLY good care of their books. We do NOT list our books on other websites; they are only here for you, our customers, on our own website. You always have first chance to get them.

BUNNY'S HONEYS
By Bunny Yeager. In the 1950s Bunny Yeager posed for Playboy and other men's magazines, but before long found herself on the other side of the camera. In a business dominated by men, she was one of the first women photographers of pin-ups, and drew upon her own experience in front of the camera. When thousands of copies of US Camera magazine appeared on the news-stands proclaiming Bunny Yeager as the "World's Prettiest Photographer", her life changed drastically. Yet Bunny never gave up modelling - being a photographer was just another asset. Bettie Page and Maria Stinger were Bunny's most popular and important models at the start of her photographic career. She found it exciting to use girls who had never been photographed before and turn them into glamour models. She also relished finding inspiring locations and making the models' outfits. THE ADVENTURES OF SWEET GWENDOLINE
First Printing. By John Willie. This is the original tribute to John Alexander Scott Coutts (1902-1962), a.k.a. John Willie, and his popular underground heroine! Willie still stands as the finest bondage artist ever and his stories of Sweet Gwen are classics, first published in rarely-seen specialty magazines of the late 1940s and early '50s. Included are complete Gwendoline stories in ink and wash, as our poor girl gets tied up, gagged, put into a tight corset, and far more, often by dominating women and even by her own friend, a leather-clad secret agent. Willie's work nearly always had an innocence of sorts—it's never violent or truly threatening. Gwendoline's naiveté is both sweet and erotic, as she submits to one domination after another. Most in b&w with some scarce color images. Belier Press, 1974. Out of Print. Condition: Fine, Very Good Jacket. Bottom boards and fore edge slightly soiled. Jacket heavily crumpled at top spine....More.

Milo Manara

MILO MANARA GLAMOUR BOOK Signed & Limited
Signed on cover #765/1000. By Milo Manara. As you would expect, there is a breathtaking amount of beautifully rendered flesh on display in an unrelenting series of lascivious situations but there is also a welcome glimpse into the scrupulous working practice of an artist equally renowned for his historical research and devotion to historical accuracy and authenticity— and his wickedly sly, dry sense of humor.
