Sgt. Rock By Joe Kubert Deluxe Edition Joe Kubert's Greatest Sgt. Rock tales in one volume! Forewords by Andy Kubert and Brian Azzarello. Recommended. By Robert Kanigher, Joe Kubert et al. Featuring the never-before-seen story “What’s to Tell?” by Robert Kanigher and Joe Kubert (Sgt. Rock, Enemy Ace, Metal Men), these landmark Easy Company classics — from Our Army at War and Sgt. Rock, to key appearances in Showcase and G.I. Combat, to contextual material from Who’s Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe — make this Deluxe Edition both a battlefield scrapbook and a monument to one of comics’ greatest artists! DC Comics, 2026. Item Code: SGTJKH Hardcover, 7X10, 352pg, Full Color |
Joe Kubert was one of the true legends of DC Comics, bringing his unique, gritty style to the pages of Tarzan, Hawkman, Enemy Ace, and especially Sgt. Rock and the men of Easy Company. In the pages of DC's "Big 5"—Our Army at War, Our Fighting Forces, All-American Men of War, G.I. Combat, and Star-Spangled War Stories—writer Robert Kanigher and artist Joe Kubert told stories of the Second World War that transcended the gung-ho depictions of warfare of the movies for something more gritty and realistic, hard-hitting, often emotionally-charged stories that spoke the truth of warfare like no others. And chief among those war heroes depicted in those tales was Sgt. Rock, leader of Easy Company. Kanigher and Kubert brought the WWII era to life each month, running Easy Company through the wringer again and again. Victories were hard fought, and losses hit hard for the squad and the readers. Truly some of the best comics ever made. Highly Recommended! ~Marty |

Rush Service and International shipping could require an additional charge. Item Code: HARBCH Hardcover, 7X11, 1120pg, Full Color |
I really enjoyed the Valiant Comics series that came after the Gold Key reboots (Magnus, Solar, Turok). One of the best of these new series was Harbinger. A team book unlike any others at the time, it depicted a real world setting that played more like a spy thriller than superhero adventure. It had a thick, complicated storyline, and characters that we could all relate to. It really felt like the HEROES TV series, years before it was even a thing. Now, the entire series is collected in this omnibus edition, the perfect vehicle to relive the adventure or experience it for the first time. ~Marty |

Hidetaka Tenjin's Artistry of Gundam By Hidetaka Tenjin. The first art book ever released in North America to spotlight the Mobile Suit Gundam artwork of Hidetaka Tenjin, a popular Japanese mecha anime artist, science fiction illustrator, and voice actor. For nearly half a century, Mobile Suit Gundam has been revered as Japan’s most iconic mecha anime franchise. Gundam introduced the concept of “real robot” mecha, influencing all mecha anime after it and permeating Japanese entertainment with spectacular animation, manga, video games, and "Gunpla" model kits. UDON Entertainment, 2026. Item Code: HIDEH Hardcover, 8X11, 144pg, Full Color |

Working at Bud's Comics & Comix stores in Sacramento, California, we not only sold comics (and comix), but we had connections overseas that allowed the chain to become one of the early sources for Japanese toys and collectibles, as well as original books about the popular anime TV series of the day. One of the most popular series to arrive in our shops was Mobile Suit Gundam. Unlike the "Super Robot" shows of the '70s, Gundam played like an epic war drama, with human characters on both sides of the conflict that fans could relate with. And then there were the mecha. These were realistic sci-fi creations, not the "Shogun Warriors" that had come before them. Hidetaka Tenjin. has become one of the true masters of Gundam art, and this fantastic collection of "mobile suit" art, from book covers, video games, and model kit boxes, all incredibly dynamic and kinetically charged images that will delight fans and neophytes alike! ~Marty |

I've been a horror fan since my earliest years, watching monster movies on Saturday afternoon, building Aurora model kits, and going all-in on monster/horror comics in my early years of collecting. The Horror Show is a grand overview of the many different facets of the horror genre, broken down into sections dedicated to different styles of horror. This is a well balanced look at the Horror genre, with plenty of photos, posters and behind-the-scenes information for fans of all ages. If you appreciate the finer things of horror, from the Silent Era to the Present, then you'll find gruesome delights indeed within these pages! ~Marty |
