WEIRD TERROR Volume 1 Collects #1-5, 1952-53, from Comic Media. Recommended. By Henry C. Kiefer et al. The longest running title Comic Media had was 20 issues, and this one ran 13 before it bit the dust during the comics code shake-up. Today these are scarce little puppies amongst the most desirable pre-code titles. Rudy Palais has some outstanding work here; Pete Morisi is here, best known for his later work at Charlton. Don Heck’s covers are simply classics and today are collected as an end in themselves. But he also drew some of the best work here, again, as a young artist who was having a devil of a time...
