I, DRAGON Volume 2 The Iron Book Highly Recommended. By Juan Gimenez. Following King Belmonth's death at the hands of his son Jorkin, matters get complicated in Rosentall. The castle's siege continues without respite while a terrible secret remains hidden in its dungeons. It is the Iron Book, an artifact with power over life and death that could hold the key to everything that is happening. The second installment of three parts. This fantasy trilogy is full of action and adventure from the brilliant author/artist of The Metabarons series. Superlative fully painted art. Alien Books, 2024....More. BEAR PIRATE VIKING QUEEN The groundbreaking three-issue miniseries is collected in its entirety. A tale of the sea, of pirates, Vikings, queens, and bears, we follow each as they war with each other and try to assert dominance over their world. Written by bestselling creator Sean Lewis (King Spawn, Above Snakes), and with hand-painted art by newcomer Jonathan Marks Barravecchia, the book is unlike anything you've read— inspired, I'd say, by Bill Sienkiewicz's unique style. Brad Spencer is accidentally exposed to a sizzling voltage and becomes the super crime-fighter, Wonderman in the early 1940s Nedor comics! Aided by his girlfriend, Carol Paige, Wonderman has the ability to become invulnerable and has super-strength. THUN'DA KING OF THE CONGO Volume 1 Collects #2-6, 1952-53. Highly Recommended. By Bob Powell. First appearing in comics in 1952 and on film in Columbia Pictures serial "King of the Congo" starring Buster Crabbe, Thun'da was a fictional Tarzan-esque character scripted by Gardner Fox and originally created by artist Frank Frazetta! Thun'da was Roger Drum, a World War II United States Air Force officer who was shot down while flying over a lost civilization, deep in the heart of Africa. Bob Powell took over and did a superb job on #2 through #6, collected here — but Powell's fine work has always been in the shadow of Frazetta's work in issue #1. Powell's at his best here, with Thund'da and his voluptuous girl friend...it's as exciting as the work he did on Cave Girl, which is another under-appreciated title from the same publisher, Magazine Enterprises (ME). PS Artbooks, 2024. ...More. |

ALSO AVAILABLE THUN'DA KING OF CONGO #1 Facsimile From 1952. Our Highest Recommendation. Thun'da was a Tarzan-esque character scripted by Gardner Fox and created by artist Frank Frazetta that first appeared in comics in 1952 and later on film in the Columbia Pictures serial King of the Congo starring Buster Crabbe. The legend is Frank did this as a tryout to do the Tarzan newspaper strip. So he just did #1, and artist Bob Powell drew issues #2-6. This lone issue remains a true icon of comics, Frank's one and only full length, cover to cover comic book creation. Reproduction is very sharp. PS Artbooks, 2023....More. Item Code: THUK01 Soft Cover, 7x10, 64pg, Full Color $19.99 |
BLACKHAWK Volume 13 Collects #65-69, 1953. Highly Recommended. Art by Reed Crandall, Chuck Cuidera, Paul Gustavsn, Dick Dillin et al. More great 1950s issues, before the title went to DC Comics. Item Code: BLAC13 Soft Cover, 7x10, 180pg, Full Color $32.99 |

MILITARY COMICS Volume 8 Collects #27-29, 1944. Highly Recommended. By Reed Crandall, Alex Kotzky, Jack Cole, Fred Guardineer, John Cassone et al. Blackhawk stories are The Flying Fool, Dungeon of Doom, and Xanukhara. The Death Patrol is revived in #28, drawn by the great Jack Cole!! Also here is the "true" story of Mussolini, the Italian fascist who was hung by his own citizens. Plus The Sniper, Secret War News, PT Boat, Pvt Dogtag and more. Solid wartime comics! PS Artbooks, 2024....More. Item Code: MILC08 Soft Cover, 7x10, 180pg, Full Color $32.99 |

STUNTMAN #2 Facsimile Edition From 1946. Highly Recommended. By Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. Published by Harvey Comics in 1946, this short-lived series is nonetheless a milestone S&K project, one of the finest post-war action heroes. Fred Drake is a Hollywood stuntman who moonlights as a daring crime fighter. Created by the legendary team, this issue thrusts readers into a world where the lines between movie magic and real-life heroism blur. With breathtaking stunts, Stuntman faces off against new villains and navigates dangerous situations both on and off the film set. The vivid artwork and dynamic storytelling (including a glorious double-page spread) make Stuntman #2 a standout example of the best of the Golden Age. PS Artbooks, 2024....More. THE COMPLETE I, RENE TARDI, P.O.W. Slipcased Set Huge oversized 3-volume set. Recommended. When French tank crewman René Tardi was captured by the Germans on May 22, 1940, his life was forever changed. He was shipped off to a P.O.W. camp, Stalag IIB, where he endured a brutal day-to-day existence for nearly five years. Once the war wound down, he faced a long, grueling journey back to France, buoyed only by the vision of his wife Henriette awaiting him at home. The final act finds René struggling to adapt to civilian life, begrudgingly re-enlisting, and returning to Germany to help rebuild the country that imprisoned him. In The Complete I, René Tardi, P.O.W., cartoonist Jacques Tardi vividly renders his father’s harrowing story, a story enriched with his own childhood memories. Fantagraphics, 2024. SAVAGE SWORD OF CONAN The Original Comics Omnibus Volume 2 Collects Savage Sword of Conan #13-28 and Super Special #2, 1976-78. Highly Recommended. The cornerstone of Marvel's black-and-white magazine line offers stories of fiction's most famous barbarian unencumbered by the Comics Code. Ferocious, untamed tales by Roy Thomas and artistic greats including John Buscema and Neal Adams, took full advantage and the results are fine mature work. Multi-part sagas like "The People of the Black Circle" luxuriate in extended tellings, while Buscema's take on "The Tower of the Elephant" and "Worms of the Earth" explores the nuance of all-time Robert E. Howard classics. Plus great painted covers!. Titan, 2024. ...More. Item Code: SAVOC02H Hard Cover, 8x11, 944pg, Full Color |

No More "Guest" Checkout Up until now, customers ordering online had a choice to set up an account or order as a "guest" without an account. Some customers use both options. However, for several months now we have been being flooded every day with fake bot” orders…which all come in using the "guest" checkout. We’ve exhausted every other recourse to stop this, adding the "capcha" I am Not a Robot function, trying to stop orders from the ever changing IP address...nothing has worked. Every day our staff here has to clean up this mess and often, credit back fake credit card charges -- all of which takes time away from more important jobs. We use an IT provider and they have also tried everything. The ultimate fix for this is to stop our convenient "guest" checkouts. Like many other websites, we are going to need customers to actually sign up with us and create a password. After entering your username and email, you’ll be sent a welcome email to set your password. After creating a password, you’ll be set up in our improved system. After logging into your account you’ll be able to view your orders, see items in your Wishlist, and manage payment details. We are delaying implementing this to give everyone time to sign up as a regular customer. If you enter your email and you get a message that an account already exists, please use the "lost your password" link to reset. If you have any questions, please feel free to call us and we can walk you through it, it takes just a couple minutes. And once again, please note: You will receive an email thanking you for creating an account with a link for you to set your new password. It is necessary for you to create a password to complete your account. Check your spam filter if you don’t see the welcome email --this happens regularly. Frequently our customers will sign up for our specials and weekly emails, but not follow through. To finish creating your account, you need to respond to our email verification. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
