EDMUND DULAC His American Weekly Collection 1924-1951
By Albert Seligman and Ann Conolly Hughey. In 1923, Edmund Dulac, the distinguished English artist, as he was billed on the front covers, was contracted by the Hearst organization to paint watercolors for The American Weekly magazine, the Sunday supplement for the newspapers. The contract lasted nearly 30 years. Dulac painted 106 watercolors from 1924-1951 for thirteen different series for The American Weekly. This is Dulac’s largest body of work, and has never before been assembled. This includes all full color illustrations used for the front covers and several that were never published. All the images have been restored and printed with high quality inks. The introduction was written by Ann Hughey. Dulac Books, 2025. ...More.

THE MONKEY WRENCH GANG 50th Anniversary Edition Slipcase
Limited Edition, 300, signed by contributors Sophie Crumb (on each of her two prints), Ken Sanders, Trent Call, and the two real-life people who inspired the characters Hayduke and Seldom Seen. This is a newly produced deluxe illustrated slipcase, filled with special new commissioned artwork, memorabilia, bookplates, recollections, and far more. Accompanying it is a new 2025 50th anniversary edition of the book itself, complete with all the original R. Crumb illustrations. Edward Abbey loved the Utah desert area and wrote about it frequently in his best-selling books. Here he set off on a gonzo side-trip, perhaps even inspired by Hunter Thompson and his whacked out journalism. In a thinly veiled work of fiction, a group of hardcore environmentalists do their utmost to stop corporate greed, uncaring land development, and ecological disaster of dams on wild rivers. Includes the previously deleted chapter, "Seldom Seen at Home." This classic of revolutionary fiction tells the story of George Washington Hayduke III and his gang of ecological activists running amok in the Southwestern desert. Dream Garden Press, 2025. Rush Service and International shipping could require an additional charge. ...More.

Bob Foster Archives

Disney storyboard artist, editor and writer Bob Foster was a long-time friend of ours. When he passed away he left his archives to us. Even though these have Rare Book codes, we have each of these in quantity.

History of Moosekind was his magnum opus, which ran for 11 issues in Marvel Crazy Magazine in the 1970s. But most old timers also remember him for the underground/independent comic of his creation, Myron Moose, first published by Bob and later by Fantagraphics.

BOB FOSTER'S MYRON MOOSE FUNNIES #2
Bob Foster's Myron Moose character is an anthropomorphic bull moose with a sinus problem, leading to frequent nostril picking and mucus drips from his snout. Foster self-published the first two issues of Myron Moose Funnies in the early '70s while working for the animation studios Filmation and Hanna-Barbera. This second issue has a bit more deviant underground content than the first, most of it supplied by Foster but some by Vincent Davis, who provides some of the best comics in the book. Others who also contribute to the book include: Alex Toth, who did a one-pager featuring Fox, a minor comic costumed hero Toth sometimes illustrated, and Myron Moose, Bob Zamboni & Dan Rodriguez. Bob Foster, 1973. Out Of Print. Condition: Fine Plus/Very Fine Minus. Some light cover and edge wear. Some bumped corners. ...More.

PEEVE DU JOUR By Bob Foster
By Bob Foster. Foreword by Floyd Norman, Afterword by Bill Spicer. Excerpted from the foreword by Floyd Norman: "Just when you thought people couldn’t get any dumber, they managed to exceed all expectations. Lucky for us, Bob Foster has become an expert in the many, minor annoyances of life. To be fair, Bob’s not a complainer or a grump. He just happens to be an astute observer of the human condition. Though he may not be as forgiving as the next person, his measured annoyance at incompetence is always fun. As our mutual pal, Willie Ito would often say, 'That’s just Bob.'" Bob Foster, 2019. Out of Print. Condition: Very Fine. ...More.

Item Code: RB7961
