| JIM APARO Brave & Bold Artist Introduction by Alan Davis! Recommended. The writing team of Jim Amash and Eric Nolen-Weathington (editors of Matt Baker: The Art of Glamour; Carmine Infantino: Penciler, Publisher, Provocateur; and Sal Buscema: Comics’ Fast and Furious Artist) turns the Bat Signal on the life and work of one of comics’ finest, Jim Aparo — considered by a generation of comic-book readers as the greatest Batman artist of them all. TwoMorrows, 2026....More. Item Code: JIMAH Hard Cover, 9x11, 176pg, Text/Partial Color |
||
| I was a huge Batman fan back in the '80s and '90s, and one of my favorite artists to draw the character was Jim Aparo. His Batman just seemed more real to me, which was due in no small part to Aparo's skill as an artist. It was just real, and he brought that quality to everything he did. TwoMorrows excels at these artist biographies, and this one is another winner! Recommended. |

OIL AND WATER The Paintings of Brian J. Haberlin Recommended. Known worldwide for his work in the comic book industry, Haberlin has turned his boundless creative energy toward watercolor and oil painting, melding narrative, atmosphere, and exquisite technique in each piece. This 120-page hardcover volume captures the breadth of Haberlin’s evolving artistic journey. From delicate studies of the human form to richly textured dreamscapes, these works bridge the realms of fantasy and reality with a signature voice as compelling as his celebrated graphic novels. Image Comics, 2026....More. Item Code: OILWH Hard Cover, 10x11, 120pg, Full Color |
| You may not know Brian Haberlin's name immediately, but you've probably seen his work in the pages of Faster Than Light, Spawn, Medieval Spawn, and other recent titles. In addition to his comics work, he also creates beautiful and moody painted art, of which some of his favorite and best images are collected in this beautiful hardcover. It's gorgeous work, and this collection is very impressive indeed. Highly Recommended. |

BECOMING FRAZETTA The Early Years of a Fantasy Art Master Signed Signed bookplate by Michael Finn! Introduction by Sara Frazetta. Art analysis by Mark Schultz. Foreword by Joe Mannarino. Recommended. By Michael Finn. Before he was a legend, he was just a Brooklyn kid with a pencil and a dream. Becoming Frazetta is the first book to uncover how he grew into the iconic fantasy painter we revere today. Created in collaboration with the Frazetta Girls and with unprecedented access to the Frazetta family and the archives of Bernard Baily's publishing company, this biography reveals dozens of unpublished pages Frank drew as a teen — including more than 50 pages of art for what would have been Frank's first published solo stories had Baily's company not gone bankrupt. Includes Frank’s never-before-seen childhood story, "Grey Dawn," alongside rare art by his teacher, Professor Michele Falanga, and his early mentor, John Giunta. Rich with discoveries, this is the untold story of how Frazetta became Frazetta. Thrilling Nostalgia, 2025....More. Item Code: BECFHS Hard Cover, 9x12, 380pg, Partial Color $100.00 |

| I am constantly learning more and more about the man and his art. Becoming Frazetta features rare material that I frankly didn't know existed. If you're a Frazetta fan, then you owe it to yourself to check out this in-depth look at the work of a very young Frank Frazetta, who displayed an eye for action and movement even in his teens. Highly Recommended! |

ALSO AVAILABLE THE FANTASTIC WORLDS OF FRANK FRAZETTA Limited First Edition, 6000 individually numbered copies. Available from us but now out of print. Our Highest Recommendation. Introduction by Dan Nadel. This monograph is the biggest and most complete ever produced on the artist, done in collaboration with the Frazetta family and with top collectors. Frank Frazetta has reigned as the undisputed lord of fantasy art for 50 years, his fame only growing in the 10 years since his death. With his paintings now breaking auction records, he's long overdue for this ultimate monograph. This has a LOT of material rarely or never before seen. Many nudes that Frank just did for himself are here; early work from his youth and early days in comics, Li'l Abner and Thunda pages, early comic book covers — all from his original art. There are also later advertising works never before collected, early paperback covers now show from the paintings. There's also a good bibliography of many of the works originally published as paperback, magazine and book covers. Taschen, 2023. Out of Print. Rush Service and International shipping could require an additional charge....More. Item Code: FANWFH Hard Cover, 12x16, 472pg, Partial Color |

ELVIRA IN MONSTERLAND ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ELVIRA IN MONSTERLAND Hardcover |
| I was always a big fan of Cassandra Peterson, a.k.a. horror hostess Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. She brought significant sex appeal to bad horror movies, proving that presentation really is everything. I've enjoyed Dynamite's Elvira comic series over the past few years (the Vincent Price team-up series was fantastic), and teaming Elvira with the classic movie monsters is a natural. Keep an eye out for Elvira in Horrorland, which is expected anyday. |
