GREEN ARROW The Golden Age Omnibus Volume 1 New Printing. Collects More Fun #73-107, World's Finest #7-28, Adventure #103-117, & much more (1941-47). Recommended. By Mort Weisinger, et al. Art by George Papp, Cliff Young, Maurice Del Bourgo et al. For the first time, DC collects the early 1940s tales that introduced the crime-fighting archer known as Green Arrow. In these original adventures, millionaire industrialist Oliver Queen battles crime with the help of his young ward, Speedy, taking on corruption and crime in Star City, including villains like Bull’s-Eye, the Voice, the Skylark and many more. Green Arrow was one of the few DC characters to keep going after the Golden Age of Comics. His longevity was due to the influence of creator Mort Weisinger, who kept him as a back-up feature to the headlining Superboy. DC Comics, 2026....More. Item Code: GAGA01H Hard Cover, 7x11, 792pg, Full Color |
| The Green Arrow was one of the few characters unaffected by the Comics Code Authority, continuing on unscathed unlike some of his contemporaries. This is a fantastic collection of the original stories that began in More Fun Comics #73 and continued on in World’s Finest and Adventure Comics, still years before Jack Kirby would lend his artistry to the character. Golden Age goodness, to be sure! |

JIM STARLIN'S BREED Omnibus |
![]() |
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SIGNED EDITION |
||
| This is another great series by Jim Starlin, best known for his work at Marvel, including The Infinity Saga. Breed played out on a different level, cosmically speaking. Starting back in 1994, this dark fantasy series began under Malibu’s “Bravura” imprint, and then 18 years later was completed at Image Comics. It was worth the wait. We have a signed edition available, for those that may not be able to track Jim down at a con appearance. |
| I was really into Warren’s Creepy and Eerie as a young collector, but I also enjoyed the horror mags from Skywald with their “Horror-Mood” tales and Boris Vallejo covers. Nightmare was a personal favorite of mine (being the first of their titles that I discovered), and these PS Artbooks reprints present the full contents of each issue. I’d like to see these collected into a single volume eventually. |
