It's a reimagining of Nathaniel Hawthorne's Tanglewood Tales for Boys and Girls, an 1853 publication in which the author wrote new versions of well-known Greek myths for children. In this new interpretation of Hawthorne's mythological tales, Spanish comics and fantasy artist Das Pastoras (the pen name of Julio Martínez Pérez) supplies 13 painted illustrations. Each is presented as a tipped-in plate printed on a unique paper stock, which really illuminates the artist's color work.
