SILVER STREAK ARCHIVES Volume 1
Back in stock. Collects #6-9, 1941. Highly Recommended. By Jack Cole, Charles Biro et al. As a life-time comics fan, I can hardly convey how pleased I am to see this wonderful material collected. Before Plastic Man, before Crime Does Not Pay, Jack Cole, Charles Biro, Bob Wood, Fred Guardineer and writer Otto Binder created some of the wildest and most fun comics of the Golden Age. Not from DC, not from Marvel--this was an upstart company that became the million-selling publisher of Crime Does Not Pay, Boy Comics, and the original Daredevil. All three titles ran well into the 1950s, long after the majority of Golden Age superheroes were history. Dark Horse, 2012...More.

Every story in #18 is by Steve Ditko, and he has two stories in #19 and three more in #20. Matt Baker makes a rare appearance in #21, behind Ditko's first cover for the title. No sir, the yarns to be had in Fawcett's and later Charlton's groundbreaking title set a new standard for weird. HIS NAME IS SAVAGE! Volume 1
An all-new sequel. Recommended. By Steven Grant. Art by Jesus Portaveritas. Savage, the star of Gil Kane's 1968 graphic novel, is back! He is the ultimate spy and de facto enforcer reining in the intelligence community's illegal excesses. But he's been  framed by an international criminal cabal and is now on the run from the very government he's sworn to protect. Hmm, sure sounds like Jason Bourne!! 2019 Bestsellers

We listed the top 20 Bestsellers of last year in the January Sale. I meant to mention some of the other bestsellers, left out because they sold out. But you might find it of interest, so here they are:

EC Fan Addict #4, which would have been #1. Roger MAY still reprint this along with #1.

The Olivia Calendar was #2; Mystique Exposed would have been #9; Boris and Julie Bell also would have placed. All three are still available. I chose not to include calendars in the master list.

Cons de Fee: The Erotic Art of Wally Wood also quickly sold out. We hope to see a reprint.

Comic Book Creator #19: Frazetta — I doubt if this will be reprinted.

Gil Elvgren's Private Stock — also unlikely to be reprinted, but you never know.

The Art of Nestor Redondo, and the artbooks on Emsh and Jack Gaughn also would have just made the top 20 but they all sold out, too. They were all on sale.

Cisco Kid Volume 4

We finally got this missing number in today, so now 1, 3 and 4 are all available. Number 2 is out of print, and we sold our last copy today. See all the titles of our Classic Comics Press White Sale here.

Max Turner

We were just told artist Max Turner passed away in December. His publisher is raising the price on his remaining books, but we'll keep them as-is—we have just a few copies of two titles, both signed:

The Sculpture of Max Turner signed [SCULMS. $20]

Faces 2: The Paintings and Drawings of Max Turner signed [FACMTS. $20]
