MARVEL MONOGRAPH The Art of Mark Brooks
Highly Recommended. Mark Brooks' photorealistic art style lends power to every character he depicts. Like Alex Ross, his attention to detail, his very real faces, his action sequences show why he's one of Marvel's top cover artists. But he also excels on interior pages and this shows much of his best two, including a healthy complement of original art and behind-the scenes commentary by Mark himself. Marvel, 2020....More

Tony DiTerlizzi

Highly Recommended. Signed! Profusely illustrated, all-ages adventures. By Tony DiTerlizzi. Kenny Rabbit lives in the sleepy little village of Roundbrook, where the most exciting things that happen are in the pages of his books. That is, until a dragon takes up residence in a cave right next door. He's nothing like the fearsome beasts of lore — Grahame is funny, cultured, and enjoys a spot of crème brulée. But when the villagers of Roundbrook catch wind of the new arrival, they are set on removing Grahame from their midst, no matter the cost. Simon & Schuster, 2020....More

Signed & limited, 100. Highly Recommended. By Tony DiTerlizzi. Self-published by Tony himself in this tiny printing. A return to the days of large-sized portfolios, this offers ten wonderfully fantastic b&w plates. DiTerlizzi has been creating children’s books for twenty years and is perhaps best known for his collaboration with writer Holly Black on The Spiderwick Chronicles, which has sold over 20 million copies and became a feature film. Printed on heavy paper, the drawings are mostly from 2019’s “Inktober” drawings: cool critters, adventurers, friendly and clearly NOT friendly monsters. Tony DiTerlizzi, 2020. ....More
