EC CLASSICS Comic Book Set Of 12 1985-1989. Publisher Russ Cochran began a series of full color, magazine-sized reprints of two EC issues in each, with quality reproduction on glossy paper. Here is a fine set of these issues, carefully selected by Russ as key issues in the EC pantheon of 300 issues in all. GRAY MORROW'S ORION: And The Edge Of Chaos Foreword by Pocho Morrow. Introduction by Daniel Herman. It's clear to anyone who takes the time to look at Gray Morrow's body of work that he had a point of view that was consistent, compelling, and good to look at. Orion, his homage to the epic "swashbuckler" newspaper strips of the 1930s, sci-fi, and fantasy, was published in installments in Heavy Metal magazine in the 1970s, but uncollected until now. Orion is a brawny, good-natured warrior somewhat between Flash Gordon and Conan. A man who's happy with a good word, some gold in his pocket, a flagon of ale, and a lovely wench at his side. Gray Morrow's career spanned 45 years. He worked as an illustrator, comic book storyteller, painter, and a comic strip artist.
