THE PRINCE VALIANT PAGE
Closeout price! Our Highest Recommendation. By Gary Gianni. Foreword by Mike Mignola. Modern illustration master Gianni opens the vaults to his work on the legendary Prince Valiant Sunday Page, written by Mark Schultz. Gianni assumed the helm of the strip after John Cullen Murphy but far too few fans have seen his several years of pages, let alone the amazing work behind the published pages...until now. Every aspect of the new era of the strip is covered here, with a particular focus on Gianni's preliminary sketches and production methods. Flesk, 2008. Out of print....More.

Item Code: PVPH

Publisher John Fleskes found two cases of these in a corner of the warehouse and let us have his last dealer copies. Published in 2008, it’s remained one of our favorite books, a must for any Prince Valiant fan. Even though it’s virtually out of print, I’ve lowered the price to make it that much more appealing in case you’ve missed it.

Gianni was recently the cover feature on Illustrators Quarterly but both the regular issue AND the deluxe signed hardcover, which only came in two weeks ago, are both completely sold out. Here are a few more books with Gary’s contributions.

We have one copy of the Prince Valiant Page Signed/Limited edition, limited to 1000, in slipcase, in Fine condition: slightly bumped corners, slipcase has minor scuffs [RB3894. $125].

Click here for all Prince Valiant books, slipcased sets, and more. We have just one left of the 2008 Prince Val statue, one of 25 Artist Proofs [PVAL. $295] with free shipping in the U.S….It’s very large and in a fancy illustrated box.

The Fantastic Worlds of Frank Frazetta

The $200 numbered edition is now sold out from the publisher. A second printing will be available from the publisher at the end of May or early June. This new edition will be identical but will NOT have the Famous First Edition limitation plate which has been individually numbered in the first edition [FANWFH]..

Download Catalog

We have already sold one-third of the Famous First Edition copies from our reorder, which finally arrived last week. We’d been out of copies for several weeks. We still have a good stock of these remaining but at the current rate of sales, they will be gone by sometime in June. This remains unavailable from all but a few online sites, all of whom are asking more than the original $200 cover price. We have not raised it.

The deluxe $650 edition [FANWFD] also remains available from us. It is NOT yet out of print; once it’s gone, I find it highly unlikely it will be reprinted. Free shipping (on all orders over $300) is available on U.S. orders; we also pay to insure it.

Our website Search Engine

I just learned this, so perhaps not all of you have figured it out either. If you use a Plus sign + when doing multi-word searches, on our home page of our website, you can narrow down results. For instance, searching publisher Book Palace normally will find every mention of Book and of Palace—nearly 4000 hits. But enter Book + Palace and you get exactly what you want: 53 titles from Book Palace.

Search "Frank Frazetta" and you will get you every mention of anyone named Frank along with Frazetta. Enter “Frank + Frazetta” (you don’t need to include quotes, I’m just doing this to be clear) or simply Frazetta and it will again narrow it down to what you want, the man himself.
