News & Notes

Gary Carter is well known to many of you as the editor of Comic Book Marketplace, the beloved comics magazine. He also was or may still be an Overstreet Advisor, and has avidly collected comics…and now pulps…since the late 1950s! He moved to Northern California three years ago. So some of my buddies (Alex Grand and Dave Armstrong) made the two hour trip over to visit him. He’d also invited Andres, who had just found an unrecorded 1946 comic from post-war Japan…in English.

We had a great visit and more on Andres discovery will be online soon. Here’s some pictures. Check out Alex’s website, Comicbookhistorians.com for a new interview with Steve Ditko’s son, and for a series of amazing artist interviews Dave Armstrong did in the 1990s, while many Golden Age Artists were still alive.
