DISNEY EPIC MICKEY The Comics Collection
Amazing artwork!! Stories first published in Disney Digicomics and other online venues in 2010 and 2010; Power of Two collected here for the first time in the U.S. Recommended. Foreword by David Gerstein. Introduction by Warren Spector. Essay and interview with Spector by Luca Boschi. A graphic novel retelling of the video game classics Epic Mickey and Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two — and the “Tales of Wasteland” miniseries that came first! Join Mickey Mouse for wild thrills in Wasteland, a parallel Disney world where Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Gremlin Gus are the big stars... and Donald Duck, Daisy, and Goofy are animatronics! Beautifully drawn, spectacularly in fact! This may just be a hidden classic if you missed it first time out. Mickey unwittingly upends Oswald’s world by accidentally unleashing the Shadow Blot — a monstrous, magical version of Mouseton's Phantom Blot. Can Mickey join forces with Oswald to defeat this colossus and its minions... or will the shady Mad Doctor and an entire family of Peg Leg Petes drive them apart? Fantagraphics, 2025....More.

THE PRIVATE EYE
Recommended. Bonus sketchbook section, commentary from the creators and more extra features. An impressive 300 pages! From the critically acclaimed co-creators behind PanelSyndicate.com, writer Brian K. Vaughan (Saga, Spectators) and artist Marcos Martín (Friday, Barrier), comes the Eisner Award-winning sensation The Private Eye, available for the first time ever in a gorgeous new paperback edition. Unusual oblong format, deluxe full color, very impressive and one wild and violent tale. Set in an inevitable future where everyone has a secret identity, The Private Eye is an eerily prescient sci-fi mystery about an unlicensed private investigator who stumbles onto the most important case of his life — and a lot of people are getting shot. The series is set in 2076, a time after "the cloud has burst," revealing everyone's secrets. As a result, there is no more Internet, and people are excessively guarded about their identity, to the point of appearing only masked in public. Image Comics, 2025....More.

MEN'S ADVENTURE QUARTERLY #13
Fully illustrated pulp fiction & features, 1957-69. Recommended. Art by Norm Saunders, Mort Kunstler, Mario Prezio, Syd Shores, Charles Copeland et al. You’ve seen them in the pulp magazines, the movies, and even the comics. Now you’ll get to experience these seductive sirens direct from the pages of the men’s adventure magazines of yesteryear. A collection of stories about gangster gun molls, murderous spinsters, vampiric French femmes with bloodthirsty appetites, serial-killing sexpots using lovestruck guys to do their dirty work, wicked wives ready to kill before divorce, cold-hearted nymphs who lure unsuspecting Nazis to their death, vixens with a penchant for poison, and even a voluptuous Cold War CIA killer who trades sexy bed hopping as often as bullets. THE MAGNIFICENT ADVENTURE: The Perils of Giuseppe Bergman
Highly Recommended. Young Giuseppe Bergman, thirsting for escape from the banal, soul-crushing boredom of his everyday life, answers a mysterious ad offering the adventure of a lifetime. But before he even gets a chance to understand what that means, he’s swept up in a headlong rush of outrageously convoluted danger and fast-paced action, for which he is absolutely unprepared, all at the behest of the enigmatic "H.P." And every one of the seven chapters here offers nubile, sexy, naked young ladies, a Milo Manara trademark. Lucky man, this Bergman....well, maybe. In one tale he loses his head, but he's still adventuring on as the head. It's VERY weird, fantastic, fantasy, not unlike Moebius and his own out-of-control characters. Plentiful nudity. After boarding an abandoned ship, the young and beautiful Gullivera encounters strange new worlds and exotic new people, from tiny Lilliputians (who tie her up, nearly naked) to teasing giants (who also seduce her) and a few other titillating stops along the way. Highly Recommended. The first half of Milo Manara's two-volume, epic biography of the hot-tempered Italian master painter. It depicts Caravaggio's early years in Rome as he struggles to capture truth on canvas, only to have his art condemned to be burned by the Church. He then is forced to flee the city when he kills a man in righteous fury over the death of a prostitute. Nudity. Gold-embossed cover. Oversized. Fanagraphics, 2024. Mature Readers....More.

ICONS OF THE FANTASTIC: Illustrations of Imaginative Literature from The Korshak Collection
Highly Recommended. Foreword by Guillermo del Toro. Features the extraordinary original artworks and paintings gathered in the Korshak Collection, artwork by pioneering and contemporary artists from over 160 years of science fiction and fantasy alongside essays by such figures as del Toro, Kevin J. Anderson, and Michael Dirda, who highlight the profound and ongoing impact of those works on imaginative literature. The illustrations in the collection appeared on the covers of timeless novels such as the Tarzan series by Edgar Rice Burroughs and classic pulp magazines from the 1930s through 1960s, such as Amazing Stories and Weird Tales. Images of mischievous satyrs, ethereal mermaids, and spell-casting witches for The Tempest, Don Quixote, and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland to works by Edgar Allan Poe and H. G. Wells. Alongside essays about famous illustrators such as Arthur Rackham and Aubrey Beardsley, contributors engage in a critical reassessment of understudied artists such as José Segrelles, Wladyslaw Benda, Margaret Brundage, and Hannes Bok. There will be a deluxe edition of this, signed by Stephen Korshak, Michael Whelan, I believe del Toro and others and limited to only 300. But the price and details are not yet settled, so stay tuned. It sounds very good. They are trying to keep the price as low as possible.

FOUL PLAY AND OTHER STORIES
Closeout Price! Highly Recommended. By Al Feldstein and Ray Bradbury. When Jack Davis took up his pen for EC Comics, what made his innocent victims more eye-poppingly terrified, his ax-murderers more gleefully gruesome, and his revenge-seeking corpses more morbidly motivated was the playful sense of (gallows) humor that he brought to them all. From the pages of Vault of Horror, Haunt of Fear, Crime SuspenStories, and Shock SuspenStories: "Hyde and Go Shriek!", "Tombs-Day!", "Witch Witch's Witch!", "Head-Room!", "Chop Talk!", "Coffin Spell!"...and the infamous "Foul Play." Essential for any fan of Bob Fingerman’s work, this career memoir details his 40 years of toiling in comics, and boasts a huge amount of art, much of which is presented for the first time and scanned from the originals. Best known for his cult comic series Minimum Wage, in 2018 he became one of MAD’s “usual gang of idiots.” Especially signed for us, at $20 less than the signed edition being offered on Zoop (the Kickstarter-like site). THUN'DA KING OF THE CONGO Volume 1 Hardcover
Closeout Price! Collects #2-6, 1952-53. Highly Recommended. By Bob Powell. First appearing in comics in 1952 and on film in Columbia Pictures serial "King of the Congo" starring Buster Crabbe, Thun'da was a fictional Tarzan-esque character scripted by Gardner Fox and originally created by artist Frank Frazetta! Thun'da was Roger Drum, a World War II United States Air Force officer who was shot down while flying over a lost civilization, deep in the heart of Africa. Bob Powell took over and did a superb job on #2 through #6, collected here — but Powell's fine work has always been in the shadow of Frazetta's work in issue #1. Powell's at his best here, with Thun'da and his voluptuous girl friend...it's as exciting as the work he did on Cave Girl, which is another under-appreciated title from the same publisher, Magazine Enterprises (ME). Closeout Price! Signed bookplate while supply last! Recommended. Woman & Man is a wildly surreal autobiographical telling of its artist, publisher, editor Craig Yoe, losing his love, his country, and, some say, his sanity — and his struggle to reinvent himself. His passion for drawing comics was sidetracked for over a half a century by a career as a creative director for Jim Henson and the Muppets, Disney, Nickelodeon, and MTV.
